The GoTeam spent most of the last six weeks living out of our suitcases.  A vacation? Hardly. Informative and enlightening? Absolutely.

It was great getting out of our offices and connecting with peers for some long-overdue human-to-human interaction.  In a world full of Zoom calls, webinars, and AI buzzwords, there’s still real value in shaking hands, sharing ideas, and having honest conversations face-to-face.

While a million things were cussed and discussed, here are six top takeaways from our recent travels, in no particular order:

  1. The IDR process still isn’t perfect… not even close. But providers are definitely starting to see more favorable reimbursement outcomes than they were a couple years ago.
  2. The health-tech industry is in a FULL sprint toward AI. Folks are ready to hand the keys over immediately. The technology is impressive, no doubt… but maybe let’s try “supervised driving mode” before we go full self-driving Tesla, huh?
  3. @SouthwestAirlines (aka the company plane) honestly isn’t nearly as bad as the internet keeps telling us it is. We survived. Bags arrived. No emergency bus rides. Big success.
  4. We heard the same thing at almost every conference: Healthcare organizations are tired of bloated legacy systems and want real alternatives. Uh, well…HELLO?!?! Finally.
  5. Pack Tums and ibuprofen.
  6. Relationships still matter. A LOT.

At the end of the day, conference season reminded us that while technology continues to evolve at lightning speed, healthcare is still a people business. The conversations we had, whether about AI, reimbursement challenges, operational frustrations, or simply surviving airport delays, all pointed back to the same thing: organizations want practical solutions, trustworthy partners, and real human connection.

Streamlining Independent Dispute Resolution: How GoRev Simplifies the IDR Process

Independent Dispute Resolution (IDR) can dramatically increase out-of-network reimbursements, but only if the process is managed correctly. GoRev’s new IDR module brings structure, visibility, and automation to a workflow that’s traditionally chaotic—helping billing teams stay organized, meet deadlines, and achieve better financial outcomes with far less effort.
